Two of the leading names in gas assist technology have come together in what is described as the ‘biggest water-assisted project ever undertaken’.
UK-based Cinpres Gas Injection and German-based Maximator, which have agreed to a joint global sales and marketing strategy involving products and services from both companies, say the two million Euro project is in the US, where Cinpres has a strong presence. It will use Maximator’s water-assist technology and the first units will be installed and commissioned within weeks.
The companies say they are bound by a confidentiality agreement and can’t identify even the sector in which the application is being used … but it isn’t either automotive or electronics, the two sectors where assisted molding is used most.
Cinpres Inc in the US will provide sales support, technical exertise and consultancy and supply spare parts for the Maximator equipment and the two Managing Directors – Jon Butler (Cinpres) and Henning Willig (Maximator) – say that the deal is solid evidence that their newly announced joint marketing strategy is working.
