Nitrogen is charged - controlled by the control module - through the mold lines into the injector. The velocity of flow makes the needle move forward.
The freely movable needle extracts the moulding time and the cleaning cycle. Additional gas channels prevent the melt from forming a skin around the injector. Upon pressure relief the needle moves backwards and wipes off impurities.
